My son is taking drum lessons at New City School of Music and absolutely loves it! He enjoys his sessions and his teacher is great! From the parent perspective, I find the school director and his staff to be easy to work with and very nice. I had called a couple of other schools and found that this school was organized and communicated their fee structure, scheduling and program very clearly. The fees seem very competitive and the instruction has been great. I would recommend them to anyone, kids or adults!
The teachers are great and the school is very friendly. They have a wide variety of instruments and the teachers will gently accommodate the discovery of hidden passions. I started learning piano in my late 30s and have enjoyed every minute of it. The teaching techniques are modern, thoughtful and effective. The school teaches in a rigorous practical manner with a fun and friendly flair.

We’ve been looking for a music school like this. This is wonderful place for children and adults alike who want to learn to play an instrument. The teachers are just wonderful, patient and very interactive in their learning strategies with my child.

Our son has enjoyed taking guitar lessons at the New City School of Music over the past several years. Not only was our teacher great, but he ended up being such a positive roll model and mentor. Our instructor strongly encouraged and motivated our son to perform in over 8 recitals. Such an amazing school with such professional and fantastic teachers! We highly recommend the New City School of Music!

" Well being a some what older musician and never really followed through with any lessons in the past, I have a connection with my teacher and I can’t wait to go to my next lesson each week. A Very structured and informational 30 minutes. Lots to practice, practice, practice, practice. I’m glad I was able to find this music school and it’s so convenient to get to for me. Great Place. My daughter did a four week trial there and we absolutely loved it. From the atmosphere to the teachers we cannot wait to sign up. My daughter is only four years old and cannot wait to go back.

New City School of music is amazing. My youngest son started violin lessons with Ruby in January. Her knowledge and dedication (as well as patience) with him has helped him get off to a fine start. He loves coming each week. Then there’s Anita. She’s the first person you meet. Her enthusiasm and obvious love for the students is contagious. She’s always ready with a smile and a positive greeting for each and every person that walks through the door. I can not recommend them enough.

Once we found the right piano instructor for our daughter's personality and learning style, everything fell into place. She enjoys practicing (mostly) and is always excited to learn. Friendly staff and very helpful finding the right fit. We are impressed with her progress and happy she looks forward to it.

My daughter loves her instructor Jamie! She has learned so much in the short time she has been taking guitar lessons. All of the staff are friendly and courteous. This is an excellent music school and I highly recommend it to all!

Over the last year, our son Andrew has taken classical bass lessons with Nick. From the beginning it became very apparent that Nick has the talent and patience one would expect from a music teacher. Simply put, Nick is very encouraging and makes learning a new instrument like the bass fun! I would highly recommend him if you or your child are interested in learning how to play a string instrument. We are very happy in choosing The New City School of Music!

What a great place for FAMILIES! Comfortable lobby, professional staff, and great teachers that keep students motivated. We love the free Recitals, where students can showcase their progress. New City School of Music is devoted to providing a real music learning experience for every student.
